Do We Have a Climate Crisis?
Description: The UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) claims that GW is occurring at a rapid rate, that GW is largely due to the increased burning of fossil fuel, and that we face dire consequences if we don’t cut back on CO2 being released into the atmosphere. The independent Nongovernmental International Panel on Climate Change (NIPCC) has concluded that Nature, not Human Activity, rules the Climate. We have identified at least sixteen reasons how and why the GW claims made by the alarmists are not substantiated by the evidence, and that. CO2 cannot possibly drive GW. GW alarmism is not supported by the facts and is not warranted. Gen. 8:22, While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease.

Evolution’s Showstopper
Description: All attempts by evolutionists to show that first life from non-life by natural processes can be explained by evolution have come to naught for four main reasons: 1) The Law of Biogenesis confirmed by Pasteur in 1864. 2) The failure of experiments like that of Miller in 1953 to show that life can come from non-life. 3) The mathematical probability of forming the first living cell by random chance processes is beyond possible, and 4) The information in a cell (DNA) requires an intelligent mind. The failure of the origin of first life from non-life by natural processes is actually a show stopper for evolution.

Dinosaurs, the Ark, and the Bible
Description: Your kids have questions about dinosaurs. Most everybody does! But can those answers be compatible with your faith? Patrick Nurre will tackle some of those questions, like: Just when did the dinosaurs live? How could they fit on the ark? And are they truly extinct? Patrick Nurre, speaker and author, was in the second grade when he made his first big find – a large dinosaur bone in the alley behind his house! That was the beginning of a love for geology. Raised in beautiful Montana, he spent many days rockhounding near the Big Horn River. This early interest led him to a lifelong study of the world of geology. Patrick was trained in secular geology, but after becoming a Christian, he began to seriously reevaluate his previous evolutionary beliefs, and became, instead, a young-earth creationist.
Today, Patrick conducts geology classes (PreK-12) and seminars in the Seattle area, and speaks at numerous home school and church conventions on geology and our young earth. He also leads a variety of geology field trips every year, including Yellowstone Park, where he helps families discover the Biblical geology of the Park.
Patrick also leads dinosaur and fossil digs in Eastern Montana. He has several resources for all ages, for those interested in pursuing a Biblical study of dinosaurs and fossils, including: Study kits with samples, online classes at Vimeo, and individual fossil samples.
Patrick is the vision behind Northwest Treasures, a 501(c)3 corporation, devoted to creating excellent geology kits, curricula and education for all ages. Biblical Worldview As It Relates To Science
Description: Today, bible-believers are a great minority among practicing scientists and are subject to much persecution. Yet, modern science was developed on principles directly derived from Christian theology. Despite that history, science today operates without even token admission of its roots. How does this affect current scientific practices? Can we trust the conclusions of all those men and women in white lab coats? Can science operate in a moral and ontological vacuum? We will examine three examples of how the turn from belief in God has affected modern thought: geomorphology (the shape of the earth’s surface), fossilization (the process of preserving the remains of living organisms), and genetics (specifically as it relates to the genetic history of mankind). In each of these subject areas, we will examine the evolutionary scenarios put forth to date and weight them against solid biblical exposition. In the end, we will see that the evolutionary conclusions for each of these subjects is derived more from starting assumptions than it is from reality. Science belongs under the umbrella of Christianity.
Speaker: Dr Carter was converted to Christ at an early age, but did not know what to do with the theory of evolution. He always knew what he wanted to believe, but had no way to express what he was thinking and no evidence to support his views. In his freshman year of college, he was exposed to the information for creation for the first time and soon after adopted it as his modus operandi. He says he felt a tremendous joy when he realized his science and his religion were no longer at odds. This joy (and, he says, Creation magazine and the Journal of Creation) enabled him to get through the in-depth evolutionary training of his undergraduate and graduate programs with his faith intact.
He obtained a BS in Applied Biology from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1992. He then spent four years teaching high school biology, chemistry, physics and electronics before going to the University of Miami to obtain his PhD in Marine Biology. He successfully completed this program in 2003 with a dissertation on “Cnidarian Fluorescent Proteins.” While in Miami, he studied the genetics of pigmentation in corals and other invertebrates, designed and built an aquaculture facility for Caribbean corals, performed well over 500 SCUBA dives, many of them at night, and licensed a spin-off product of his research (a patented fluorescent protein) to a biotech company.
He is currently a senior scientist and speaker for CMI-USA in Atlanta, Georgia, where he lives with his wife, Leanne, and children and is currently researching human genetics and other issues related to biblical creation.

In this Mini Conference on The Reality of Adam and Eve, Dr Rob Carter brings two seminars on Saturday morning from 9:00 AM until 12 noon. There will be an extended time for Q&A after the second seminar.

Description: The subject of ‘race’ is a hot-button topic in the world today. The biblical answer is clear. The scientific answer is also clear. And they both say the same thing — there is but one human race and humanity has not been on this planet for more than a few thousand years. Modern DNA analysis has destroyed 150 years of evolutionary, racist, and/or eugenic storytelling. In the end, this is a Gospel issue, as all people descend from Adam and are related to our “Kinsman Redeemer”, Jesus Christ.

He is currently a senior scientist and speaker for CMI-USA in Atlanta, Georgia, where he lives with his wife, Leanne, and children and is currently researching human genetics and other issues related to biblical creation.

Description: There are two possibilities for the author of life – God or natural processes. The biblical case for first life is presented. Then we examine the case for natural processes and present four reasons why first life cannot form by means of natural processes: 1) Law of Biogenesis, 2) Failure of self-arrangement of molecules into a living organism, 3) Law of Probability, and 4) Information requires an intelligent agent. The fossil record, taxonomy, complexity, and design support the creation of different kinds of living organisms as recorded in the first chapter of Genesis.

The Hidden World of Mount St. Helens
Description: May 18, 2020 marks the 40th anniversary of the eruption of Mount St. Helens. This catastrophic event, in a matter of minutes, produced a 230-square-mile area of destruction, which became known as the ‘blast zone.’ Within its confines, forests, meadows, wetlands, streams, and lakes were severely cataclysmed. Initial predictions from scientists called for a very prolonged and difficult recovery period . However, four decades have now passed and the return of plants and animals to the Mount St. Helens landscape has far exceeded expectations. How has this happened? What behind-the-scenes organisms and processes have produced the healing we observe at the mountain?
Dr. Keith Swenson will give a new power point presentation detailing several little known vignettes of recovery in the blast zone. Through this program, he will explore the apparent design in the Mount St. Helens ecosystem and also relate the observed recovery to global restoration following Noah’s Flood.
Speaker: Dr. Keith Swenson is a retired medical doctor who now teaches courses in biology and geology at Multnomah University in Portland, Oregon. He also served for twenty years as President of Portland’s Design Science Association and was on the board of the Seven Wonders Museum near Mount St. Helens. Keith especially enjoys leading field trips and has taken thousands to Mount St. Helens, the Columbia Gorge, Northwest forests and the Grand Canyon. He has co-led, with Dr. Steve Austin, periodic trips into the “Little Grand Canyon” at Mount St. Helens. Keith has a B.S. in Zoology from the University of Idaho and an M.D. from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. He and his wife, Connie, have four grown children.

Big Bang Cosmology vs. Biblical Creation:
Are They Compatible?
Description: Secular astronomers believe that space and time began through a great cosmic explosion, and yet the Bible says God spoke the universe into existence. While some Christians try to reconcile these two views, the creation account contains a strikingly dissimilar sequence of events.
This presentation will analyze the big bang theory, and the supporting evidence including the redshift of light, cosmic background radiation, as well as homogeneity. Alternative interpretations are presented, which argue that the Earth occupies a special place in the universe after all.
Speaker: Chris Ashcraft is a Christian educator employed as high school science teacher at Cedar Park Christian Schools, and adjunct professor at Northwest University. Chris has also worked in plant biotechnology. He was a research technician at the Cotton Fiber Production Laboratory at Texas Tech University, then at the Plant Transformation Facility at Oklahoma State University, and lastly was the Plant Transformation Specialist for EDEN Bioscience in Bothell, Washington.
He obtained a Bachelor of Science in biology from Wayland Baptist University in 1989, a Master of Science in biology from Texas Tech University in 1996, a Master of Education from the University of Washington in 2008, and a Master in Teaching Math and Science from Seattle Pacific University in 2012.
Chris moved from research science into the teaching profession to serve God in Christian education. His decision was motivated by the impact that secular science is having on people of faith. Today, close to 50% of Christian students lose their belief in God while attending secular schools. This tendency could be lessened if the Church was better equipped to defend the authority of Biblical teachings (1 Peter 3:15). To be prepared for these challenges, it is important that churches provide regular educational programs on creation and other Bible Apologetics.

Over 80,000 copies of the 43 books and monographs that he has authored or co-authored are in print.

Real Chemistry Doesn’t Support the Origin of Life by Chemical Evolution
Description: “Better Living Through Chemistry!” We will discover that the information for prescribing life activities and the life force itself is not part of the atoms, molecules and chemical principles even though life rides on or runs on the chemistry of the cells. Evolution assumes that life is a product of the physical atoms and molecule, yet the un-directed process of chemical evolution violates known and verified chemical laws, principles and processes. We will show that the “goo-to-you-by-the-zoo” model is unscientific, especially in proverbial “primordial pond” or oceans. Without a sound foundation of the origin of life, the entire evolutionary model of origin of all life forms falls apart. We will learn some simple chemical facts related to the origin and function of the cell that are the Achilles Heel of the evolutionary model. Then where did all the information and the life force itself come from?
Speaker: Ron Payne has a B.S. degree in chemistry from the University of Washington and studied microbiology at Oregon State University. He spent 35 years in the Aerospace Industry as a Senior Principle Materials and Process Engineer specializing in chemical processes, waste treatment, metallurgy, circuit board fabrication, metal finishing, adhesives, coatings, paints, cleaning, electronic assembly, procurement engineering and technical documentation. He was a Board member for the Creation Association of Puget Sound (CAPS) and also for the Mount St. Helens Creation Center for more than 15 years. Which God?
Description: How can we be sure the God of the Bible is the One True God? In a world with many religions, there is a rational way to establish certainty in responding to this question. This is an interactive talk in which the case for the God of the Bible is made through abductive reasoning. Taking Paul (Romans 1) to task, we observe “the effect” (the natural world) and learn a great deal about “the cause” (God). Then a comparison is made of the “candidates” proposed by the major religions of the world in order to figure out which god is the right God. This talk will strengthen your faith!
Speaker: Dr. Juan Valdes Juan has always had an curious mind and asked lots of questions growing up. Searching for answers has been his passion and a lifelong journey. He had his first debate in 10th grade Biology class. Juan believes people have good questions and we as Christians need to have good answers. He desires to live out the command in the Bible where we’re told to always be ready to give an answer and to do so with the right attitude (1 Peter 3:15).
Further, Juan feels called to equip young people for the battles they face every day in an increasingly hostile culture. He also desires to equip parents and pastors so that they’re able to engage the youth. Juan loves to see people emboldened when they realize that there’re excellent arguments in support of the Truth. Most importantly, he enjoys removing the obstacles that keep people from surrendering to Christ.
When Juan’s not traveling, he is engaged in the pastorate of his bilingual congregation in Miami, FL. When he has down time (which isn’t often) you might find him in a quiet place reading a book or fishing. Juan’s educational background includes graduate work at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and master’s degrees from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary and Logos Graduate School. Do We Have a Climate Crisis?
Description: The UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) claims that GW is occurring at a rapid rate, that GW is largely due to the increased burning of fossil fuel, and that we face dire consequences if we don’t cut back on CO2 being released into the atmosphere. The independent Nongovernmental International Panel on Climate Change (NIPCC) has concluded that Nature, not Human Activity, rules the Climate. We have identified at least sixteen reasons how and why the GW claims made by the alarmists are not substantiated by the evidence, and that. CO2 cannot possibly drive GW. GW alarmism is not supported by the facts and is not warranted.

Being challenged in his Christian faith by what he was taught in university in the 1960’s, Dr. Lycklama has always maintained an active interest in the Creation vs. Evolution controversy. He has developed a series of lectures on Creation vs. Evolution, Christian Apologetics, and Biblical Worldview over the years and presented the material in Sunday school classes, to college students, during church services, at Bible Schools, and other venues in Europe, Asia, Africa and North America. Basic Creation Training Course.
This one-day course is designed to prepare Christians to speak about and defend the biblical account of creation with confidence and be better equipped to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Target Audience: Ninth grade and above (A great course for getting your high school student trained to defend their faith).
Certification: This course is certified for one Continuing Education Unit (CEU) for Christian school teachers.
Course Goal: To prepare Christians to be able to speak about and defend the biblical account of creation with confidence and be better equipped to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Instructional Method/Format: Lecture, class participation, and exercises.
Course Outline
Chapter 1: Establishing and Defending a Biblical Worldview
Chapter 2: Handling Objections
Chapter 3: Science and Time
Chapter 4: The Genesis Flood, Geology, and the Fossil Record
Chapter 5: Biblical Apologetics (Answering Challenges)
Chapter 6: Dismantling Two Foundations of Evolution
Course Length: 1 day (8:30 am – 5:30 pm)
Course Cost: $45 per student ($35 for each additional family member) $25 Students.

The True Gospel vs. False Gospels
Worship Service: This message explains the True Gospel as it is presented in 1 Cor.15:3-4. Attributes of the True Gospel are presented in these three ways:
• The first Gospel in Scripture
• The Gospel in the Old Testament
• The full context of the Gospel
We then explain how to recognize false gospels by comparing them to the True Gospel. This provides a serious warning to the church today.

Watch one of the films listed below. Invite family members, colleagues, friends, and/or acquaintances into your home to watch a film and discuss together.
