Lessons From Space
Description: Dr. DeYoung examines what we have learned from the study of the space age and draws these five conclusions:
- Planet earth is unique
- The universe begins with supernatural creation
- The universe operates by physical laws
- Space is beyond measure in size
- The universe is wearing out
Speaker: Dr. Don DeYoung is a creation scientist and educator specializing in astronomy and physics. He holds an emeritus science faculty position at Grace College, Winona Lake, Indiana following a career in teaching and research. Don is a graduate of Michigan Tech (B.S., M.S.), Grace Seminary (M.Div.), and Iowa State University (PhD, physics). He has written 21 books on Bible-science topics including object lessons for kids.
Don is a Fellow and past president of the Creation Research Society with over 1700 members worldwide. He speaks and writes on a broad range of Bible-science topics and believes that the details of nature are a powerful testimony to the Creator’s care for us. Don is regarded as one of the Creation Pioneers.
Don and his wife Sally have three married daughters and ten grand and great-grandchildren. His activities include kayak-fishing and wilderness backpacking.
His books include Thousands not Billions (2005), Discovery of Design (2009), Astronomy and the Bible (2010), Our Created Moon (2010) and 77 Science Activities for Kids (2013)..
