The Age of The Earth

Description: Dr. DeYoung will present contrasting views on earth history, and discuss the theological implications of deep time. Evidences for a Young Earth provided during his talk include carbon-14, fossils and rock formations.

Speaker: Dr. Don DeYoung is a creation scientist and educator specializing in astronomy and physics. He holds an emeritus science faculty position at Grace College, Winona Lake, Indiana following a career in teaching and research. Don is a graduate of Michigan Tech (B.S., M.S.), Grace Seminary (M.Div.), and Iowa State University (PhD, physics). He has written 21 books on Bible-science topics including object lessons for kids.

Don is a Fellow and past president of the Creation Research Society with over 1700 members worldwide. He speaks and writes on a broad range of Bible-science topics and believes that the details of nature are a powerful testimony to the Creator’s care for us. Don is regarded as one of the Creation Pioneers.

Don and his wife Sally have three married daughters and ten grand and great-grandchildren. His activities include kayak-fishing and wilderness backpacking.

His books include Thousands not Billions (2005), Discovery of Design (2009), Astronomy and the Bible (2010), Our Created Moon (2010) and 77 Science Activities for Kids (2013)..

3. Thursday, October 19, 7:00 pm. Talk on Lessons From Space at Cornerstone Bible Church in Lake Stevens, WA.
4. Friday morning, October 20 at 8:00 AM, Talk on “Mathew Maury, Pathfinder of the Seas” at Grace Academy School in Marysville, WA.
5. Friday, October 20, 7:00 pm. Talk on The Age Of The Earth at the Apologetics Forum meeting at Atonement Free Lutheran Church in Arlington, WA.
6. Saturday morning, October 21, 9:00 AM to noon. Mini-Conference on Discovery of Design at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Mount Vernon, WA with two seminars, followed by an extended time of Q&A with Dr. DeYoung. The talks are:
