Youth Night Out: Let The Animals Speak About Creation
This program is designed for the youth and others with an interest in being able to defend their faith. The program is structured as follows:

Description: Using several examples to document the fact that so-called missing links are everywhere, most life forms appear in the fossil record fully formed, and no documented precursors exist.
Speaker: Dr Jerry Bergman is an author, teacher and a speaker. He has taught biology, biochemistry, anatomy and genetics, psychology and other courses for over 40 years at the University of Toledo Medical College, Bowling Green State University, and other colleges. His 9 degrees include a Doctorate from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. The 1,026 college credit hours he has earned is the equivalent to almost 20 master’s degrees. Bergman fits in the website The 10 Most Educated People on the Planet ahead of several others, and in the science area is number one.
His over 1,400 publications are in both scholarly and popular science journals. Dr. Bergman’s work has been translated into 13 languages including French, German, Italian, Spanish, Danish, Polish, Czech, Chinese, Arabic and Swedish. His books, and books that include chapters that he authored, are in over 1,500 college libraries in 27 countries. Over 80,000 copies of the 43 books and monographs that he has authored or co-authored are in print.
Bergman has spoken over 2,000 times to college, university and church groups in America, Canada, Europe, the south Sea Islands, and Africa. His Past experience includes speaker and researcher for The Institute for Creation Research.

Youth Night Out: Biblical Worldview & Science

Description: Today, bible-believers are a great minority among practicing scientists and are subject to much persecution. Yet, modern science was developed on principles directly derived from Christian theology. Despite that history, science today operates without even token admission of its roots. How does this affect current scientific practices? Can we trust the conclusions of all those men and women in white lab coats? Can science operate in a moral and ontological vacuum? We will examine three examples of how the turn from belief in God has affected modern thought: geomorphology (the shape of the earth’s surface), fossilization (the process of preserving the remains of living organisms), and genetics (specifically as it relates to the genetic history of mankind). In each of these subject areas, we will examine the evolutionary scenarios put forth to date and weight them against solid biblical exposition. In the end, we will see that the evolutionary conclusions for each of these subjects is derived more from starting assumptions than it is from reality. Science belongs under the umbrella of Christianity.
Speaker: Dr Carter was converted to Christ at an early age, but did not know what to do with the theory of evolution. He always knew what he wanted to believe, but had no way to express what he was thinking and no evidence to support his views. In his freshman year of college, he was exposed to the information for creation for the first time and soon after adopted it as his modus operandi. He says he felt a tremendous joy when he realized his science and his religion were no longer at odds. This joy (and, he says, Creation magazine and the Journal of Creation) enabled him to get through the in-depth evolutionary training of his undergraduate and graduate programs with his faith intact.
He obtained a BS in Applied Biology from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1992. He then spent four years teaching high school biology, chemistry, physics and electronics before going to the University of Miami to obtain his PhD in Marine Biology. He successfully completed this program in 2003 with a dissertation on “Cnidarian Fluorescent Proteins.” While in Miami, he studied the genetics of pigmentation in corals and other invertebrates, designed and built an aquaculture facility for Caribbean corals, performed well over 500 SCUBA dives, many of them at night, and licensed a spin-off product of his research (a patented fluorescent protein) to a biotech company.
He is a senior scientist and speaker for CMI-USA in Atlanta, Georgia, where he is currently researching human genetics and other issues related to biblical creation.

Description: Using secular media Carl teaches how to address popular claims about the Bible and dinosaurs! Ask this question in the church today and almost every Christian will ‘say’ Jesus! The only problem is that when asked specific questions about dinosaurs Christians will answer with a ‘Jurassic Park’ mentality! Using clips from the wildly popular ‘Jurassic Park’ movies Carl shares what is being taught in the movies but then contrasts it with what the Bible teaches and science really shows. This is a very powerful multi-media presentation that will help all to differentiate between ‘fact’ and ‘fiction’! This talk is a part of the “Becoming Bold Conference – Live at the 3 Mile Project”. It is also invaluable in teaching a generation how to critically evaluate what they are watching and will address the “Know it!” challenge.
Speaker: Carl Kerby is an inspiring, motivating and highly respected Christian speaker. With more than 20 years of ministry experience, Carl shares his extensive knowledge and understanding of God’s creation in his presentations, outreach events, books and other resources as the President and founding board member of Reasons for Hope, Inc.
Carl Kerby is a former air-traffic controller and a creation apologist speaker who teaches how to defend the Bible against scientific naturalism. He was one of the founding board members for Answers in Genesis, and has been described by AiG as one of their most dynamic lecturers on the Book of Genesis. After serving with Answers in Genesis for over 15 years, Carl became the Founder and President of Reasons for Hope. He is a much sought-after speaker both in the United States and abroad, and has spoken in Bermuda, Canada, England, Greece, Israel, Jamaica, Japan, Mexico, the Philippines, Wales and others.
He grew up in a liberal church that taught evolution could be mixed with God’s Word. In 1987 Carl Kerby became a Christian after attending a crusade in Salt Lake City, Utah. While an air-traffic controller and riding in the cockpit on a flight, the Creation vs. Evolution issue came up during a conversation with the pilots. The co-pilot argued that the Bible and Evolution were a totally different worldviews that could not be in harmonized. He then introduced Carl to Ken Ham’s book The Lie: Evolution, which helped him trust in the Bible as authoritative on the issue of creation.
Carl and his wife Masami have been married for more than 30 years. They have two children, Alisa (Bobby) and Carl Jr. (Tish) and four grandchildren, Trey, Naomi, Mari and James. Carl is the author of Remote Control: The Power of Hollywood on Today’s Culture, Absotively, Posilutely, The Best Evidence for Creation and Reasons for Hope In The Mosaic of Your Life. Youth Night Out: Is Evolution A Fact?

Description: Although the culture claims evolution is a fact, this talk goes into three main reasons why it cannot be a fact. First, evolution cannot be a fact by the definitions of evolution and science. Macroevolution is not observed going on today, so it is not science.
Second, evolution cannot be a fact because modern biology shows that every organism is vastly too complex to have evolved by chance, even with the pathetic mechanisms of mutations and natural selection.
Third, evolution cannot be a fact because it contradicts the Bible. Genesis 1 states that organisms were created by kinds and to reproduce within their own kinds and not into some other kind (macro-evolution). The Bible also teaches, summarized in Rom 5:12, that there was no death of man or the animals until man sinned, while evolution states that there has been mass death over millions of years before man supposedly evolved at the very end.
Speaker: Michael J. Oard has a M.S. in Atmospheric Science from the University of Washington. He has worked in atmospheric research and retired from the U.S. National Weather Service after 30 years of service. Michael has worked in creation research in the earth sciences for almost 50 years and is the author, co-author, editor of many creation science books on the Ice Age and the Flood. He also has published hundreds of research article in the creation science literature. Michael has been married over 50 years and has 4 grown children and 12 grandchildren.

There are natural limits to biological change? Geologists now see the evidence for a world-wide cataclysmic event in the past? Your body is not littered with ‘useless leftovers’ of slow & gradual evolution? Chimpanzees and people do not have 98.5% the same DNA? Birds are not dinosaurs? Evolutionists agree this planet was completely covered with water in the past? There are dozens of examples of soft dinosaur tissue in the fossil record?
These and many other examples Dr. Sherwin will cover in his presentation regarding scientific facts and evidences that are “overlooked” or not covered in your science textbooks.
Speaker: Dr. Frank Sherwin received his bachelor’s degree in biology from Western State College, Gunnison, Colorado, in 1978. He attended graduate school at the University of Northern Colorado, where he studied under the late Gerald D. Schmidt, one of the foremost parasitologists in America. In 1985, Dr. Sherwin obtained a master’s degree in zoology. He published his research in the peer reviewed Journal of Parasitology. In 2021, he received an Honorary Doctorate of Science from Pensacola Christian College. He contributes his scientific expertise to a variety of ICR’s publications on creation science and is one of ICR’s most sought-after speakers. He is the author of The Ocean Book and Guide to Animals, co-author of The Fossil Record: Unearthing Nature’s History of Life and The Human Body: An Intelligent Design, and a contributor to Guide to Creation Basics and Creation Basics & Beyond.
